On December 12, 2025, Dr. Biying Wu, Assistant Professor of the Academy for Educational Development and Innovation at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) and Program Director of the Master of Arts in Digital Marketing and E-Commerce, visited the School of Media and Communication (SMC) to introduce two Master of Arts programs offered by EdUHK: the Master of Arts in Digital Marketing and E-Commerce and the Master of Arts in New Media and Social Media.
During the information session, Dr. Wu first provided a comprehensive overview of EdUHK and the academic, living, and cultural environment in Hong Kong. She introduced the University’s history, international rankings and academic resources (ranked 195th globally in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings and 530th in the QS World University Rankings), as well as its geographic advantages, transportation system, and living facilities. She then outlined the distinctive curriculum design of the three Master’s programs, highlighting their strong faculty teams, research support systems, as well as graduates’ career development prospects and alumni networks. The curricula of these programs integrate interdisciplinary knowledge such as artificial intelligence and educational technology, and are designed to cultivate students’ critical thinking and creativity in digital communication and new media related fields. The programs are delivered primarily in Chinese, supplemented by English and Cantonese instruction, enabling students to enhance their professional competence in a multilingual learning environment.

The session also provided a detailed explanation of the application procedures and admission requirements, followed by a Q&A segment to address students’ questions. Dr. Wu responded to students’ inquiries regarding application criteria, coursework arrangements, and internship and career opportunities. At the conclusion of the event, representatives from both institutions expressed their hope to further strengthen cooperation in talent cultivation and academic exchange, thereby creating broader platforms for faculty and student engagement.
